Brake fluid leak

Problem
Brake fluid is leaking from the rear of the brake master cylinder bore
Likely cause
  • Brake master cylinder seals are damaged and leaking
  • Vacuum booster input seal and/or pushrod misalignment
Solutions
  • Check the brake master cylinder seals for damage
  • Check if vacuum booster input seal and pushrod are properly aligned
  • Replace a brake master cylinder if necessary

Brake pedal is sinking regularly when brakes are applied
Likely cause
  • Pressure loss due to cylinder piston seal failure
Solutions
  • Replace the brake master cylinder

Likely cause
  • There is an air in the brake lines
Solutions
  • Check the brake fluid motion inside the brake master cylinder reservoir
  • If bubbles are observed inside a reservoir, change the brake fluid
  • Perform a brake bleeding
